Wolf Tooth Chainring Bolts + Nuts for 1x0 of 0 people found the following review helpfulVerified Purchase
The company was excellent, very transparent with all costs, and the bolts arrived with me 48 hours after making the purchase.
The bolts seemed ok - they were to be fitted to a set of Shimano Saint cranks on a Hope 32t Chainring on a Banshee Rune. After installing and reinstalling a number of times, I have just given up. The Shimano Saint bolts and blanking plates feel far more secure, despite the lack of aesthetic appeal. These bolts are soft. One of the bolts is rounded, and maybe I had originally tightened them too much. Unfortunately, if I left them any looser, they were coming undone on rides. So I over tightened them, (I did not want to loctite my chainring bolts) and they still came undone; now I have at least one bolt that cannot be used. The idea of 2 different sized hex keys to undo and tighten them, seemed like genius, however I do not believe these bolts are strong enough to be effective at the job they are designed for. (Maybe using steel over aluminium might have helped here?)
They do look good, really good, but unfortunately I do not feel these are up to the required task. They do look beautiful, and generally I really like the wolf tooth equipment, (I'm using a wolf tooth rear thru axle that is perfect) however I am left completely unimpressed by these bolts.
